Six months between those two tweets? Pretty weak for someone who’s proven he can flip-flop on any issue in six seconds. Unlike Trump, Ali had good reason for not serving in the Vietnam War.
When news of Ali’s death hit the web Trump was one of the first to tweet out a nice RIP thing but then later criticized Obama for claiming that America had Muslim sports heroes, asking “Who’s he talking about?
” forgetting, apparently, that Ali was Muslim.So yeah, Trump is an opportunistic bastard and an idiot besides. But we knew that.
Back when Trump first called for a ban on all Muslims entering the US Ali wrote a short piece disputing that view saying American politicians needed to show the truth th Islam and that Muslims needed to tell the ISIS assholes that they were not real Muslims.
